Filosofía

Ani Pema Chödrön, nacida Deirdre Blomfield-Brown, es una monja budista estadounidense de la tradición tibetana.
Comenzó sus estudios budistas a mediados de sus treinta años tras conocer al Lama Chime Rinpoche.
Chödrön recibió la ordenación de novicia en 1974 y la ordenación completa de bikshuni en 1981.
Su maestro principal fue Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, con quien estudió desde 1974 hasta su fallecimiento en 1987.
Chödrön ha sido directora de Karma Dzong en Boulder, Colorado, y de Gampo Abbey en Nueva Escocia.
Actualmente enseña en América del Norte y pasa tiempo en retiro solitario bajo la guía del Venerable Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche.
