Key Takeaways

1. You were born to live a supernatural life of everyday miracles.

The truth is, you were born to live a supernatural life doing God’s work by God’s power.

Expect the miraculous. Most people view miracles as rare, extraordinary events reserved for a select few or ancient times. However, a universal human experience of "divine coincidences" suggests a deeper truth: God actively intervenes in human affairs. This book challenges the notion that such events are uncommon, proposing that you were created to experience and facilitate them regularly.

Everyday Miracle Territory. The world is often seen as divided between the "Land of Signs and Wonders" (rare, spectacular miracles) and the "Land of Good Deeds" (human effort without supernatural expectation). The author introduces the "Everyday Miracle Territory" as the middle ground where ordinary people partner with God for regular, personal miracles. This territory is your rightful home, where unmet needs are seen as golden opportunities for God to show up through you.

God's normal for you. God did not place you on Earth to notice Him at work only once or twice in your life. He desires for you to walk out your door each morning believing He will use you to deliver a necessary miracle. This isn't about special powers, but about a willingness to be a "delivery agent" for God, making Him visible in unforgettable ways in the lives of others.

2. God actively seeks partners to deliver His miracles on Earth.

God is not reluctant or uninterested when it comes to showing Himself strong. Rather, He is looking “to and fro throughout the whole earth” for people who are loyal to Him.

Heaven's Mission Central. Most people imagine Heaven as a passive place of worship, but biblical accounts (like Micaiah's and Isaiah's visions) reveal it as "Mission Central." God is actively at work, with a real-time agenda for Earth, seeking volunteers to carry out His plans. He has three options for getting things done:

  • In Person (rarely)
  • By an angel (rarely)
  • Through a human being (most common)

Signals sent, often missed. God constantly sends "nudges"—subtle, interrupting thoughts—to communicate His wishes for miracle missions. However, many people, even long-time Christians, miss these invitations or say no. This often stems from a misconception that God is reluctant to do miracles, requiring intense persuasion, rather than actively seeking willing partners.

A network of nudges. When you commit to saying "yes" to Heaven's nudges, you become a living link between Heaven and Earth. God orchestrates divine appointments, matching you with specific people, needs, and resources. Your willingness to respond to these signals allows God to demonstrate His power and care, transforming lives and revealing His character.

3. The Master Key: Proactively ask God to be sent on miracle missions.

When I asked to be sent, God sent me on miracle missions.

The "Yes!" God seeks. The Master Key is an urgent, heartfelt prayer to be sent by God on a miracle mission. While Jesus commanded us to "go," millions are willing but few actually go. This key transforms God's command into your passionate request, signaling your commitment to act whenever He nudges.

Isaiah's bold example. The prophet Isaiah, witnessing God's heavenly council, heard God ask, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?" Isaiah's immediate, almost commanding response, "Here am I! Send me," demonstrates the proactive commitment God seeks. He didn't know the mission details, but his desire to serve God was paramount.

Profile of a delivery agent. When you pray to be sent, you become God's delivery agent, walking out the door knowing He might have a miracle for anyone you meet. This commitment allows God to match you with specific people and situations, orchestrating "match-ups for personal miracles" that are time, need, and resource-specific.

  • Consciously enter the throne room of Heaven.
  • Volunteer with "Here am I! Send me!"
  • Precommit to act when nudged, trusting God's guidance over rationalizations.
  • Actively put your faith in God to deliver the miracle through you.

4. The People Key: Embrace God's heart for all people, yielding your preferences.

Serving people just isn’t worth it.

Collision moments. After committing to be sent, you'll encounter "collision moments" where God's agenda for you clashes with your own preferences and expectations. The People Key prepares you for these by yielding your rights in advance, ensuring you serve anyone, anytime, anywhere God directs, not just your "preferred people."

God's agenda: people. Jesus exemplified this, stating, "I have come down from Heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me." He served the unpopular, outcasts, and interruptions. If you prioritize your agenda, you risk missing significant miracle opportunities, like Jonah, who refused to show compassion to the Ninevites he disliked.

Serve God through others. The true motivation for serving others is to serve God Himself. As the author's friend wisely noted, "If you’re determined to serve people for the sake of people, you’ll eventually burn out and quit... Serving people just isn’t worth it." By focusing on serving God in "the least of these," your motives remain pure and sustainable.

  • Surrender rights to choose your own miracles, plans, and preferred people.
  • View every person as a potential miracle opportunity.
  • Yield to God the details of time and place.
  • Serve "as to the Lord," regardless of worthiness or gratitude.

5. The Spirit Key: Partner with the Holy Spirit for supernatural power and guidance.

Ministry without the Spirit of God is merely our best efforts. Ministry with the Spirit of God is the stuff of miracles.

The indispensable Partner. The Spirit Key formally aligns you with the Holy Spirit, acknowledging that while you deliver a miracle, only God does the miracle. Jesus emphasized the Spirit's advantage, stating it was "to your advantage that I go away" so the Helper, the Spirit of Truth, could come and empower believers globally.

The Helper's roles. The Holy Spirit is a real, knowable Person who works through us to accomplish Heaven's desires. He:

  • Knows the other person intimately, guiding you to the right gesture or message.
  • Knows us, matching our strengths and weaknesses with specific needs.
  • Guides us into all truth, often through natural, subtle leadings.
  • Speaks of the Father and Son, bringing glory to Jesus and communicating truth.
  • Empowers us with boldness, enabling us to do what we cannot alone.
  • Does the miracle, while we are blessed to partner in the process.

"Without You, I can't..." This key involves precommitting to cooperate with the Spirit at every opportunity. It means recognizing that your best human efforts are insufficient for supernatural outcomes. By embracing this partnership, you become one of God's "favorite delivery people," as He knows you will rely on His Spirit for miracle moments.

6. The Risk Key: Take intentional risks of faith, overcoming unbelief and fear.

The amount of our faith is directly related to the likelihood that we will deliver a miracle.

Faith in action. The Risk Key is a purposeful action taken despite discomfort or fear, placing you in complete dependence on God for a miracle. Jesus taught that our faith directly impacts whether a miracle happens and its magnitude. Unbelief, conversely, can literally stop a miracle God wants to do.

Peter's bold step. Peter stepping out of the boat onto the water exemplifies risky faith. While others stayed safe, Peter, in spite of fear, acted on Jesus' command, "Come." This proactive dependence on God alone bridged the gap between the boat and Jesus, resulting in a miracle that glorified God.

Fear as an alert. Fear is a normal human emotion, but during a miracle delivery, it acts as a "fear alert"—a signal to exercise your faith and move forward. It confirms you're outside your comfort zone, indicating a miracle is directly ahead. The root of this fear is often unbelief, which must be rejected by affirming God's trustworthiness and acting on truth.

  • Affirm God is who He says He is.
  • Admit unbelief is sin and apologize.
  • Recount God's past faithfulness.
  • Keep your eyes on Christ, not circumstances.
  • Precommit to exercising risky faith.

7. Master five signals to guide your miracle deliveries.

Miracle-specific signals are being sent our way on a regular basis, and we can learn to read and respond to them.

God's communication system. God provides unmistakable, universally identifiable signals to guide us in delivering miracles. These signals, often missed, are crucial for connecting with the right person and addressing the right need. Learning to recognize and respond to them rapidly increases your success as a miracle agent.

The five miracle signals:

  • Nudge: An inner push from God directing you to a person, place, or action (e.g., "Go talk to that man"). It's unexpected, subtle yet clear, and often uncomfortable.
  • Cue: A signal from another person, often unknowingly communicated through words or body language, revealing their feelings, desires, or needs (e.g., April's tears revealing her fear for her baby).
  • Bump: Something you do to another person, usually a question, to surface or confirm a need (e.g., "How may I help you?"). It's a gentle, open-ended inquiry.
  • Prompt: A sudden insight from God about the person you're helping, providing information you couldn't otherwise know to deliver the miracle (e.g., "Tell him to make his bed").
  • Alert: A signal from yourself (fear or discomfort) indicating you're outside your comfort zone and should exercise faith to move through your feelings toward the miracle.

Learning to read. These signals are intuitive and can be learned through practice. They help you identify the person, isolate their need, know when you're succeeding, feel confident in God's leading, and interpret your own emotions. They are not mysterious but practical tools for partnership with God.

8. Follow five steps to effectively deliver any personal miracle.

When we put these elements in the order in which most miracles unfold, we have a set of action steps that we can learn and use.

The miracle delivery framework. Delivering personal miracles follows a simple, universal, and repeatable five-step process. This framework integrates the Miracle Life Keys (Master, People, Spirit, Risk) and prepares you to partner with God for successful outcomes.

The five steps:

  • Identify the person: Respond to God's nudges, cues, or bumps to find the specific individual God wants to help. God often makes the appointment obvious, especially for new delivery agents.
  • Isolate the need: Use cues (verbal/nonverbal) and bumps (questions like "How may I help you?") to uncover the specific need God wants to meet. This focuses your efforts on God's agenda for that person.
  • Open the heart: Prepare the person emotionally to receive the miracle. This involves empathy, active listening, and gentle invitations to share, creating a safe space for God's Spirit to work.
  • Deliver the miracle: Actively partner with the Spirit, responding to His guidance to do or say something important. This is God's turn to act, and your role is to facilitate, invite, and trust Him to do the impossible.
  • Transfer the credit: Ensure God receives all the glory for the miracle. Help the recipient recognize God's intervention, express gratitude, and understand that God is the ultimate source of the blessing.

A repeatable process. These steps are not a rigid formula but a flexible framework. They bring together all the concepts learned, enabling you to move from "Hello" to "Mission accomplished" with confidence and joy, knowing you are God's chosen instrument.

9. The Money Key: Deliver financial provision through God's resources.

God only gets funds to a person in need when another human being releases some of his or her funds for that purpose.

God's financial agenda. God intends for us to use money to display His goodness and faithfulness in miraculous ways. Financial provision is a universal need, and God actively orchestrates "money miracles" to meet these needs, often through unexpected nudges to His delivery agents.

How God transfers money. Surprisingly, God primarily moves money to meet needs through other human beings. When a generous person gives in response to a God nudge, they "lend to the LORD," and God promises to repay. This process involves:

  • A person's financial need.
  • Heaven hearing prayers or recognizing needs.
  • Heaven identifying a specific amount, situation, and time for delivery.
  • Heaven nudging a person with funds and opportunity.
  • The delivery person giving the money, ensuring God receives credit.

The God Pocket. This practical tool involves setting aside money specifically devoted to God in your wallet or purse. This "God Pocket" money is no longer yours; it's God's to use when He nudges you. This detachment allows you to respond freely and joyfully when a financial miracle opportunity arises, demonstrating God's extravagant generosity.

  • Decide how much money to devote.
  • Devote it directly to God.
  • Deposit into your God Pocket.
  • Determine to act without debate when nudged.
  • Depend on God to nudge you.

10. The Dream Key: Help others discover and pursue their God-given life purpose.

Your big dream isn’t just about you, you know. Your dream is a one-of-a-kind part of God’s larger Dream for the world.

The DNA of purpose. Everyone is born with a "big dream"—a driving desire to do something special, placed in their heart by God. This dream is not invented by us but precedes us; God designs us uniquely to fulfill a specific part of His larger Dream for the world. Most people, however, have forgotten, discarded, or are hindered from pursuing their dream.

The cost of unfulfilled dreams. When people don't pursue their God-given dream, they often feel trapped, unhappy, or apathetic. This leads to a staggering cost in personal and cultural suffering. Conversely, pursuing one's dream brings hope, purpose, and profound fulfillment, making it the bull's-eye of a joyful and significant life.

Delivering a breakthrough. The Dream Key unlocks a miracle of life purpose. As a "dream champion," you partner with God's Spirit to help others:

  • Identify the person struggling with purpose (cues: discontent, apathy; bump: "Are you living your dream, or are you stuck?").
  • Isolate the need (no dream, or hindered by fear of failure/rejection).
  • Open the heart by affirming their God-given dream and reigniting desire.
  • Deliver the miracle by guiding them to reaffirm their dream and take a crucial next step, trusting God to bring about a paradigm shift.
  • Transfer the credit to God, who planted the dream and empowers its fulfillment.

11. The Forgiveness Key: Release people from the torment of unforgiveness.

Forgiveness is one of the most unnatural responses in all of human nature.

The prison of unforgiveness. In a world full of hurt, forgiveness is essential yet profoundly unnatural. When wounds are left untreated by forgiveness, they fester, leading to a "Spiral of Unforgiveness": bitterness, resentment, anger, malice, hatred, and ultimately, vengeance. This torment can devastate individuals and families for years.

God's urgent command. Jesus emphasized forgiveness as paramount, stating that if we don't forgive others "from the heart," our Heavenly Father will not forgive us our trespasses, delivering us "to the torturers"—the painful consequences of our own unforgiveness. God gets angry when those He has forgiven everything refuse to forgive comparative trifles.

Five steps to freedom:

  • Identify the person: Look for cues like chronic anger, self-destructive behavior, difficulty in relationships, or the "Unforgiveness Validator" question: "Would you say that you experience torment from time to time?"
  • Isolate the need: Focus on who hurt them, what specific wounds were inflicted, and which injuries are most distressing. The Spirit will often bring specifics to mind.
  • Open the heart: Share the truth of Matthew 18—the cost of unforgiveness and God's desire for freedom. Help them confront wrong beliefs (e.g., "Vengeance belongs to God, not me") and become emotionally ready to let go.
  • Deliver the miracle: Guide them to verbally forgive specific wounds, one by one, "from the heart." This process, though emotional, brings immediate peace and release from torment.
  • Transfer the credit: Help the recipient acknowledge God's presence and healing, confess their own sin of unforgiveness, and receive God's full pardon.

12. Commit to a life of miracles, going "through the roof" for God.

You Were Born for This was never meant to be about something; it was meant to create something—an unforgettable turning point in your life.

A new beginning. This book marks not an end, but the beginning of your new life in Everyday Miracle Territory. You've seen behind the veil of Heaven, understanding that God actively seeks partners for daily personal miracles, sending signals and providing a clear framework for delivery.

Radical shifts in belief. You now recognize:

  • Miracles are regular, personal events through ordinary people.
  • Every person has a God-known need that He wants to meet through you.
  • Heaven is actively planning miracle appointments and seeking volunteers.
  • God is ready to do miracles through you regularly.
  • God's Spirit is a personal partner in supernatural work.
  • Identifiable signals and steps lead to success in miracle missions.
  • Every day is an exhilarating opportunity for a miracle mission.

Go through the roof. Like the four friends who lowered a paralyzed man through a roof to Jesus, you are called to go "through the roof" for God. When circumstances seem impossible, your faith, expressed through proactive dependence on God, creates a way. You don't need perfect opportunities or preparation; you are already the perfect candidate to deliver a miracle.

Thoroughly equipped. Commit to this new miracle life by:

  1. Committing to go "through the roof" for miracle deliveries.
  2. Embracing God's dream for you.
  3. Practicing the keys and steps daily.
  4. Sharing your miracle stories.
  5. Staying connected to God and other delivery agents.

The Lord looks at you with pleasure and great anticipation, ready to work mightily through you.
