ديل كارنيجي كان كاتبًا ومحاضرًا أمريكيًا ورائدًا في مجال تطوير الذات وتدريب المهارات الاجتماعية.
وُلد في ظروف فقيرة بولاية ميزوري عام 1888، لكنه تمكن من أن يصبح مؤلفًا ناجحًا ومتحدثًا عامًا مطلوبًا بشدة.
قام كارنيجي بتطوير دورات تدريبية في فن الخطابة، وفنون البيع، والعلاقات الإنسانية التي لاقت رواجًا واسعًا.
ومن أشهر أعماله كتاب "كيف تكسب الأصدقاء وتؤثر في الناس" الذي نُشر عام 1936، وحقق مبيعات بملايين النسخ حول العالم ولا يزال يحتفظ بتأثيره حتى اليوم.
تستمر تعاليم كارنيجي في التأثير على مجالات التنمية الشخصية والتدريب التجاري رغم وفاته عام 1955.
