Ralph Keyes is an American author of 16 books spanning topics such as risk-taking, loneliness, honesty, time pressure, and language.
His 2004 book The Post-Truth Era demonstrated his ability to anticipate social trends.
More recently, he has focused on quotations, words, and euphemisms.
Keyes has written for publications ranging from GQ to the Harvard Business Review, winning the McKinsey Award in 2002.
A frequent NPR guest, he has also appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Tonight Show.
He graduated from Antioch College in 1967 and studied at the London School of Economics.
