Despite being diagnosed with dyslexia, he pursued writing after being medically disqualified from the Marine Corps.
Flynn self-published his first novel, Term Limits, which became a local bestseller and led to a publishing deal.
He went on to create the popular Mitch Rapp series, becoming a successful author in the spy thriller genre.
Flynn's perseverance in overcoming his learning disability and rejection letters showcases his determination.
He passed away in 2013 after battling prostate cancer, leaving behind a legacy of thrilling novels that continue to captivate readers.
