پیتر ناوارو یک اقتصاددان و مقام سابق دولت ترامپ است.
او دارای مدرک دکترا در رشته اقتصاد از دانشگاه هاروارد می‌باشد و در دانشگاه کالیفرنیا، ارواین تدریس کرده و جوایز آموزشی برای برنامه‌های MBA دریافت کرده است.
ناوارو کتاب‌هایی درباره تهدید اقتصادی چین تألیف کرده و به عنوان مشاور تجاری رئیس‌جمهور ترامپ فعالیت کرده است.
او در دهه 1990 و اوایل 2000 سه بار به‌طور ناموفق برای مقام سیاسی در سن دیگو نامزد شد.
