تاریخ سیاست

دیوید رولف گربر انسان‌شناس و آنارشیست آمریکایی بود که به خاطر کارهای علمی و فعالیت‌های سیاسی‌اش شناخته می‌شود.
او در دانشگاه ییل و کالج گلداسمیت، دانشگاه لندن مشغول به کار بود.
گربر در جنبش‌های اجتماعی مختلفی از جمله اعتراضات علیه مجمع جهانی اقتصاد و جنبش اشغال شرکت داشت.
او عضو اتحادیه کارگران صنعتی جهان بود.
آثار گربر معمولاً به چالش کشیدن سیستم‌های اقتصادی و سیاسی متعارف می‌پرداخت و موضوعاتی مانند بدهی، بوروکراسی و ماهیت کار را مورد بررسی قرار می‌داد.
او در سال 2020 و در دوران پاندمی کووید-19 درگذشت و میراثی از نوشته‌های تأثیرگذار و فعالیت‌های اجتماعی از خود به جا گذاشت.
