Jonathan Rogers grew up in Georgia, where he spent much of his childhood exploring the swamps and riverbottoms that would later inspire the wild places featured in The Wilderking series.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Furman University in South Carolina and went on to receive a Ph.D. in seventeenth-century English literature from Vanderbilt University.
A father of six, Rogers tested his debut novel, The Bark of the Bog Owl, on his own children, who received it warmly.
He resides in Nashville, Tennessee, where he works as a freelance writer, balancing his literary career with family life.
